• Born in Johannesburg, South Africa February 11th South African and British citizen.

1993

• Junior education, attended St. Davids Marist Brothers, Johannesburg.

2000

to 2005Natal Midlands

• Senior education, attended Hilton College, a boarding school in the Natal Midlands, his teachers considered him an enigma and an extremely disruptive student. During his high school years, he won the 1st prize in The Natal University Fine Arts Competition while still a student in high school. He Won the Kenneth Beghin Memorial Prize for Art.

2007

North Carolina

• Awarded a full golf scholarship to university in North Carolina Dropped out of college after 6 months.

2008

New York

• Officially moved to NYC.

2009

New York

• Enrolled at the Pratt Institute of Art and Design in Manhattan During this time he began selling his art on the street and was an inspiration for other artists who sought his help. Dropped out of the Pratt Institute and become the youngest artist in history to be invited to hold a solo exhibition at the National Arts Club, a private members club for the arts in New York City, this show was titled “Outliers”. →

2010

Johannesburg

• Solo exhibition “Portraits”, at David Brown Fine Art Gallery, Johannesburg.

2011

• Created his own colour “Mccreedyblue”, a combination of five unique blue pigments that he uses exclusively for all of his paintings. “Mccreedyblue is not only a colour; it is a philosophy and a way of life”. Commissioned by Time Warner to create their logo in his signature Mccreedyblue style.

2012

New York

• Solo Exhibition “African Ocean” Charles Bank Elizabeth Street gallery, NYC. The painting titled “Secret Movements” was sold to a private NYC collection for a record-breaking price for an artist under the age of 30. →

2013

• He founded a nonprofit organisation with celebrities and friends in order to help protect the African lions, bracelets are made in the Mccreedyblue colour – PAL (Protecting African Lions).

2014

Zurich

• Moves to Switzerland and sets up his atelier in the heart of Zürich. Created the glow Mccreedyblue pigment, called “Illuminatus”. Bloomberg Markets TV interviews Mccreedy at Galerie Proarta in Zürich. Galerie Proarta displays Mccreedy solo at 20th International Contemporary Art Fair Kunst14 Zürich, booth C7, from October 30th to November 2nd. First solo Exhibition in Switzerland, titled “Mccreedyblue“ at Galerie Proarta, Zürich.

Hong Kong

• Record auction sales achieved in South African through Stephan Welz Auction house. Solo exhibition sold out in Hong Kong at the Cat Street Gallery. Bloomberg Markets TV conduct an interview on Mccreedy- Describing him as the next Luxury Art Brand.

2016

Zurich

• Represented by HG contemporary Guggenheim gallery in NYC. Mccreedy opens his own global HQ atelier and private gallery space based in Zurich old town. UBS commission Mccreedy to create the world‘s most exclusive “Art Candle” for UBS high net worth clients. The candles are modelled off his original paintings.

Koller Auction house, Switzerland auctions small splash painting for new medium sized painting record price. Expands his Zurich HQ atelier studio space. Zurich

• Creates his outdoor HOLISTIC Monumental Rock Sculptures, each weighing over 4 tons. Participates in Shanghai 22nd International Art Fair with Askeri Gallery, Booth B19. Cheetah Plains Luxury Safari Lodge names VIP Suite- "The CONOR MCCREEDY SUITE" and acquires 12 large paintings. Second Solo exhibition in Moscow, Russia, Askeri Gallery. Builds HOLISTIC Monumental Rock Sculture in South Africa, Cradle of Human Kind. Global Sneaker collaboration with Austrian Shoes brand Ludwig Reiter. Launches the art sneaker, the worlds most expensive sneaker. Global swim trunk collabaration with Timo Trunks, Launches his trademark patterns licensed for swimwear. Koller Auction House auctions two Splash Paintings from a Swiss Private collection. Conceptual instillation begins inside ground floor of HQ studio. Zurich, Switzerland. Titled "Mr Blue In The Works"

2019

• Completes his Palm Tree series. Exhibits Palm Tree series at Lima PArC Art Fair, Peru. New York Art Week displays Splash paintings. Bogota Art Fair Columbia Abstract works. Focuses on Venetian heritage paintings and explores the philosophical and mathematical theories of chaos theory.
