Blue Sultan
“From its beginnings as an unassuming color, blue has become a magic formula through the ages, a sensory experience that entices and calms, that makes us dream and creates inner clarity. When looking at Conor Mccreedy’s paintings today, he plays with the nuances of only a single color. By creating his own Mccreedyblue, or Mccblue, onlookers are drawn in to experience the transformation of the autonomous color from monochrome to an abstract neo-expressionism.
This title invites readers to witness the semi-recognizable landscapes and portraits inhabited by peculiar forms that encapsulate the fragility of nature. An ode to his childhood in South Africa, these works are an attempt to stare into the face of nature, riddled with mysteries and deep thoughts. To be in the now with the wild, mystical adventure of the unknown power of the natural world. Statements from prominent figures within the art world supplement Mccreedy’s influential imagery.
Mccreedy has defined a distinct monochromatic blue vocabulary through his work since he started to paint in his early twenties. Disciplined by a single color, focusing on material exploration, the creative gesture and the spiritual connection between the artist and his work, he seeks to transcend visionary boundaries.” — Assouline

Conor Mccreedy is the first artist to harness meticulous craftsmanship and AI technology to transform original oil paintings into AI-generated art. From his studio in Switzerland, he leads a team that uses AI to replicate each brushstroke from his original oil paintings - an achievement never before accomplished in traditional art.
While AI art is not new, Mccreedy is pioneering a technique that merges the soul of classical oil painting with the future of artificial intelligence. This bold approach redefines artistic boundaries, challenging the very laws of art with vision and depth that only the most discerning collectors can truly appreciate.
This limited edition art book is more than a publication - it is a curated experience of Mccreedy’s world: refined, visionary, and profoundly personal.
